31 May: Görres Lecture: Gabriel Steinschulte speaks on Prelate Johannes Overath

Dr Gabriel Steinschulte (Cologne), who worked for many years in Rome at the Osservatore Romano and at the Pontifical Institute for Sacred Music and until last year was conductor of the Schola Cantorum Coloniensis, will speak on the topic: ‘The commitment of the Council prelate Johannes Overath (1913-2002) to Musica Sacra and the Campo Santo Teutonico’.

A new face for the Campo Santo Teutonico: Peter Klasvogt

Prelate Dr Peter Klasvogt from the Archdiocese of Paderborn will be inaugurated by Bishop Dr Bertram Meier (Augsburg) on 14 September at 10 a.m. as the new rector of Campo Santo Teutonico and the Archconfraternity, a position he has held since June. Peter Klasvogt has an excellent reputation, and the new report on katholisch.de is noteworthy.

Viterbo: The Macchina of Saint Rose

Yesterday, 3 September, it was that time again: in the evening, the procession of the brightly lit Gothic macchina of St. Rosa, patron saint of Viterbo, took place. In March, the staff of the Roman Institute had taken a trip to Viterbo, and now Federica Giordani was able to take photos from her room at close range.
