During my Easter stay in Berlin-Steglitz, I came across a commemorative plaque on an outside window of the town hall there, which reads:
"On 4 November 1901, the 'Committee for School Trips' was founded here in the Ratskeller and was given the name Wandervogel. The German youth movement emerged from this original cell".
Joseph Ratzinger was undoubtedly the most prominent professor - and also one of the youngest and most popular - that the Faculty of Catholic Theology in Bonn has ever counted among its ranks. An impressive film documentary with many contemporary witnesses and connoisseurs of Ratzinger's theological work reports on his places of activity and his impact on the students.
The Centro Italiano di Studi sull'Altomedioevo in Spoleto is organising a major congress on the Franks, which will also be broadcast online. The spectrum of lectures ranges from the origins of the Franks to imperial history, law, language and art. With regard to Christianity, the baptism of Clovis, relationship with the popes, rural local churches and the social and political importance of the monasteries are dealt with.
Stefan Heid will give a lecture on "Proclaim the Gospel: Strategies of the Early Church to liberate the earth from the demons", as part of the Dahlem Forum Bernhardinum.

Under the direction of Philippe Capelle-Dumont and Davide De Caprio, an international conference on Joseph Ratzinger and French culture will be held at the Catholic Faculty of the University of Strasbourg on 5-6 May..
