According to unconfirmed sources, the French Trappists are currently leaving their monastery in Frattocchie, located on the Via Appia Nuova in front of Castel Gandolfo. The monastery is said to be up for sale.

The Sangalli Institute offers the third international intensive course on the archives of the Holy See and Roman Catholicism, to be held in Rome from 22 to 26 January 2024.
Dr Andreas Burtscheidt, head of the Hanns Seidel Foundation's doctoral funding programme, came to Rome in November with a 40-strong group from the club of former scholarship holders. The programme "History, politics and culture to the right and left of the Tiber" also included lectures and guided tours by "Görresians", in this case the director and Dr Ulf Schulte-Umberg (photo).
On 9 November at 7pm at Campo Santo Teutonico, the English edition of the booklet "Monsignor Hugh O'Flaherty - The hero of the Campo Santo Teutonico" will be presented by the Irish Embassy to the Holy See. This will be preceded at 6pm by Holy Mass with Bishop Daimuid Martin from Dublin, the former Vice-Rector of the College.
On the 400th anniversary of the death of the Slavic apostle Josaphat, an exhibition is on display at the Gregorian University. Josaphat, the Basilian monk dedicated his life to unity among Christians. His work spans Lithuania, Ukraine, Poland and Belarus and bears witness to the historical bond between the Eastern Catholic Church and Western Europe and Rome in particular. It is not announced how long the exhibition will be on display.
The Pontifical Institute for Christian Archaeology is offering special courses in Christian Archaeology again this year. You can combine certain lectures: Catacombs, Topography of Rome, Architecture, Patristics, Iconography.
The complete renovation of the Campo Santo Teutonico, which is planned to take several years, was initiated on 19 October with the signing of the contract for the renovation of the historic wall by Ambassador Dr Bernhard Kotsch, Rector Konrad Bestle and Camerlengo Franco Reale.
The Giornale Diplomatico (Quotidiano online di informazioni e opinioni) draws attention to the study day that the RIGG is holding together with the Embassy of Hungary to the Holy See on the Prefect of the Vatican Secret Archives on 28 October.
The annual introductory course in Christian Archaeology will be held in Italian at the Pontifical Institute for Christian Archaeology. The deadline for enrolment is 6 November. Lectures and visits will be offered.
