In September, the new scholarship holder Cornelia Bäurle (* 1994 in Tübingen) will begin her studies at RIGG. Her academic home is the University of Munich, and she already spent a semester in Rome in 2015. She receives her main scholarship from the Gerda Henkel Foundation. For her art-historical doctorate, Ms Bäurle is working on bathroom decorations of the early 16th century in Rome and the surrounding area. In addition to the antique-erotic wall paintings, she is also investigating the architectural location of the bathrooms in villas and palaces, primarily of clerical patrons.
