Anna Maria Brunner from Ainau in Bavaria worked as a dental assistant in Munich. In 1986, she moved to Rome for the first time for a longer period. In 1988, she finally broke camp in Germany and found employment in the Eternal City at the "most beautiful square" in the world", the Piazza Navona, in the German dental practice of Prof. Zappe (until 2007).

In 1991 she married Vincenzo Martone in the German National Church of S. Maria dell'Anima. Since 2009 she has worked as a secretary at the Campo Santo Teutonico and was admitted to the Archconfraternity of the Sorrowful Mother of God in 2010.

Although now retired, she still works for a few hours in the secretariat. "Now, in my regained free time, I would like to devote some time to history and to the many arguments that have been raised, which in recent years I have only been aware of in passing, not least to satisfy my curiosity and to learn something new".
