The Institute

Founded in 1888, the Roman Institute of the Görres Society (RIGG) is the well-known academic centre and foreign institute of the Bonn-based Görres Society.
Donations And Foundation

Prelate Paul Knopp, the long-serving curate and chaplain at the Church of Santa Maria dell'Anima, has died at the age of 87 in his home diocese of Cologne. During his time in Rome (1968–2000), Knopp was a member of the Roman Institute of the Görres Society. In Rome, he carried out exemplary work among German-speaking Catholics, later also supported by the German-speaking pilgrim pastoral care service.
