On 14 September, Dr Bertram Meier, Bishop of Augsburg and responsible for the Campo Santo on behalf of the Bishops' Conference, will inaugurate the new rector of the Campo Santo Teutonico with a solemn service at 10 a.m. Prelate Dr Peter Klasvogt was appointed on 15 June.

As rector, Prelate Dr Peter Klasvogt is also directly responsible for the Roman Institute of the Görres Society (RIGG), which is located in the college premises and co-manages the college library. He is on the board of directors of the RIGG and co-editor of the Roman Quarterly. As a member of the Roman Institute, he is also connected to the Görres Society as a whole.

The Roman Institute therefore extends a warm invitation to all members, supporters and friends to attend this important celebration. The long-awaited renovation of the Campo Santo Teutonico will demand a great deal from the rector in the coming years, which deserves every support and active assistance.
