My name is Fr. Ezio Giovanni Maria Russo OP (born Ezio Antonino). I was born on 3 February 1976 in Gela. I attended the Vincenzo Linares Classical High School in Licata, after which I enrolled in the Degree Course in Conservation of Archaeological Cultural Heritage in Agrigento, a branch of the University of Palermo, then located in Villa Genuardi, a jewel of Girgenti (Agrigento), with a magnificent monumental garden overlooking the Valley of the Temples, now owned by the FAI and home to the Superintendence for Cultural Heritage.

I graduated in 2006 with a thesis on the authenticity of the sites of the Holy Sepulchre in historical sources, under the guidance of Prof. Rosa Maria Carra Bonacasa. The same professor advised me to enrol in the PIAC, which was impossible for me to do at the time, but now, after many years, the Lord is allowing me to do so.

Over the past three years, I have also collaborated with a friend who is a postulator of causes of saints in the drafting of the Positio super virtutibus of a servant of God, which I completed just last year. Previously, for a year and a half, I was Episcopal Vicar for Consecrated Life in the Diocese of Lamezia Terme and, immediately afterwards, for six years I served as diocesan exorcist in the Diocese of Acireale.
