The program of the 127th General Meeting of the Görres Society, which will take place from September 26th to 28th in Mannheim, is complete. It has the title "Canon and Discourse", which at first glance seems cryptic.

But this first impression shouldn't stop you from taking a look at the program, which is extremely rich and appealing and, it seems, even more extensive than in previous years. This diversity must actually be due to the topic, which fundamentally asks about standardization, canon formation, wokeness and winning narratives in all specialist areas, i.e. in the religious as well as in the secular area. The canon is in tension with discourse, open debate and plurality.
