The Institute

Founded in 1888, the Roman Institute of the Görres Society (RIGG) is the well-known academic centre and foreign institute of the Bonn-based Görres Society.
Donations And Foundation

Now in its ninth year, the Joseph Ratzinger/Pope Benedict XVI Study Library is the world's largest specialised library on the German Pope, with 2,300 titles in around 40 languages.

The rapid expansion was made possible thanks to the support of the College of Priests at Campo Santo, whose holdings include the specialised library, as well as the Vatican Ratzinger Foundation, which is headed by Fr Federico Lombardi. The Ratzinger collection can be consulted during the library's general opening hours.
