Founded in 1888, the Roman Institute of the Görres Society (RIGG) is the well-known academic centre and foreign institute of the Bonn-based Görres Society.
Donations And Foundation

The latest newsletter from the Görres Society focuses primarily on the Society's big anniversary, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary: 1876-2026!

Following this year's decisive breakthrough, whereby the Görres Society will continue to receive indefinite funding from the Association of German Dioceses, all signs now point to continued consolidation, growth and renewal. This process has been underway for years and is gaining further momentum thanks to the anniversary.

We recommend that everyone take a look at the newsletter for themselves. There is a wealth of information about dates, offers and developments in the coming months.

We strongly recommend that you book your hotel now for the festive general meeting from 25 to 27 September 2026 in Koblenz.
