Founded in 1888, the Roman Institute of the Görres Society (RIGG) is the well-known academic centre and foreign institute of the Bonn-based Görres Society.
Donations And Foundation

On 7 November, Hartmut Benz will be speaking about the colourful figure of Prelate Rudolf Gerlach (1886–1946), a native of Baden-Baden, on the WDR programme “Zeitzeichen” (WDR-5 from 9.45 am to 10.00 am and on WDR-3 from 5.45 pm to 6.00 pm). Gerlach was Cameriere Segreto of Pope Benedict XV and was forced to leave the Vatican and Italy during the First World War.

Benz has published several essays on Gerlach in the "Römische Quartalschrift".
