Located next to St. Peter's Basilica, the Campo Santo Teutonico is the retreat of the Roman Institute of the Görres Society (RIGG), the well-known academic centre for research into the history of the Church and Christian cultural heritage.

Society for the Study of Conciliar History (Augsburg)

Since 2014, there has been close cooperation between the RIGG and the Society for the Study of Conciliar History in the person of Prof. Johannes Grohe. Since then, a scholarship holder from the Görres Institute has been placed by the Society. In 2018, the Society's annual conference on the topic of "Council and Minority" was held jointly with the RIGG.
